For some time now I have been wondering what would be the best way to blend 15+ years of experience as a former pastor, and better than 8+ years worth of experience with web and internet marketing in order to help churches and religious organizations get their message to many targeted audiences.

Ministry Maven has been created to put that vision into motion. The ability to communicate a timeless message with contemporary tools like Search Engine Optimization, Paid Search Marketing, Email Marketing, and Social Network Marketing seems like a natural fit for the type of message that we have. I wish that this kind of opportunity had been available when I was pastoring.

As mentioned above, I spent over 15 years serving 4 separate churches in pastoral positions. The last two were as a senior pastor. A strong driver for me was to help the church to function effectively outside of the four-walls of the church building. I loved seeing people get involved in ways that might not have been considered conventional.

When I transitioned out of pastoral work as a vocation, I went to work for a company where they gave me the responsibility for creating a web presence that communicated their brand. Mission accomplished, I then began to question how in the world would we ensure that the people needing the services of the company that I worked for would be able to find the web presence. Not many answers came to me at that point.

When I moved back to the Midwest, I worked for almost seven years in two different companies as a Business Analyst and Web Developer. I was still building web projects, but on a larger scale. I had yet to put together the puzzle on the question of what I now understand as driving targeted traffic to the solutions that were being developed. Reading everything that I could get my hands on began to fill in the void and I started understanding how Search Engine Marketing was the tool that connected a product or service to the millions of people using services like Google and Yahoo Search.

I now own and run a company that develops and manages Internet Marketing Strategies for businesses. We have the joy of working with over 40 companies at the present. Our services have had a profound effect for the majority of our clients.
