Church Keyword Research with Wordtracker
Effective church keyword research can be conducted fairly well with free online tools if you know what you are doing. Given that fact, there are a few tools that have proven themselves over the years as indispensable in the work of identifying keywords that have the greatest potential to create exposure for you. You can save yourself a great deal of time and grief using the right tools for the job. Wordtracker is one of those tools.
I have found no better tool, at no better price, for doing root-word keyword research for profit, and non-profits alike. For three years running I have put the power of Wordtracker to use on behalf of my SEO clients.
I had heard John Alexander speak of Wordtracker in his webinars, and in his writings over a period of time, so I became intrigued enough to plunk my hard earned dollars down to try it out. That was a miracle in itself, since I am a naturally born skeptic. With a thirty-day, unconditional money back guarantee, I figured how could I go wrong?
Learning How to Use Wordtracker
One of the first things I did was jump into the wealth of information at “The Wordtracker Academy.” Just about any question you can come up with in answered here. It was a pleasure to see great documentation then, and the resource continues to grow.
The Academy contain articles on the following topics:
- Keyword Research
- Keyword Creativity
- Pay Per Click
- Search Engine Optimization
- Blogging
- Link Building
- Social Media Marketing
- Web Content
- Case Studies
There is even a free Keyword Research Guide! That is easy on slim church budgets.
Wordtracker costs $329.00/year, and better money will not soon be spent. Churches and religious organizations that are serious about creating online exposure for your ministries will want to take a look at Wordtracker. (It is easy with the trial period.)
Remember, there is a thirty-day, unconditional money back guarantee. Receive a free trial at Wordtracker! Get signed up for Wordtracker and start finding those keywords that drive targeted traffic to your site.
Church Online Reputation Management
Just like businesses, churches are finding out that proactively managing their online reputation can make a great deal of sense.
Although a church may not be attempting to answer potential critics, it doesn’t mean that the talk is not occurring. The value is in getting out in front of what is being said so that you can shape the discussion. Just shifting the focus to correctly reflect an event or statement may be all it takes to avoid a growing misconception.

One of the first steps is to sign up for a “Google Alerts” account and receive notifications on phrases like your church name, your pastor’s name, etc. to see what is being said online about your church. If negatives occur, you can contribute to the conversation to try and right the record if there is misinformation out there.
It is very rewarding to also see good dialogue occurring and it gives you an opportunity to leverage the positive for further outreach.
Managing your church’s online reputation does not have to take long. If you don’t, who will?
Powerful Church Marketing Designs
I ran across some inspiring graphic arts work, and I wanted to pass it on to you. It is exciting to see high quality design being deployed on church publications.
Enjoy the work at http://inspiks.com/2009/09/02/mind-blowing-church-marketing-designs/. Thanks for sharing this Mark!
Brand Marketers Embracing Social Media – Should Your Church?
Professional marketers, whose primary job is to build brand awareness for their company or products, are embracing Social Media in larger numbers. Most brand marketers are in tune with using effective techniques for greater exposure.
Should your church consider leveraging Social Media so that there is greater exposure to the gospel of Jesus Christ, or the ministries of your church? Only you can answer that question. I don’t want to try and build a biblical case for such an argument, but I will appeal to the principle of wisdom in presenting the truth in venues where people actually reside. Where can people be found? Online.
Is it possible that the church will think “out of the pew” on these issues? I am seeing encouraging signs.
Download the PDF document and see what is working for business. Dare to replicate that success for your ministry.
