Back in the Saddle again!

It has been a long time since my last entry, and I have been trying to figure out why, because I am passionate about this topic. My business is all about putting people who are seeking for something in touch with those that have the ability to meet that need. That is indeed what Internet marketing is at its core.

What bugged me into inactivity for a period was the lack of perceived value when communicating the value of using Internet marketing to churches and religious organizations. Really, I should have anticipated this! I served churches for over 15 years in pastoral roles. Churches as a whole are slow to engage in tools that can help them, especially with outreach.  And, churches historically are inward oriented. It is only important if it ministers to the “already reached.”

Maybe I’m feeling sorry for myself. I do hate banging my head against the wall constantly though. Good grief, I am incredibly successful performing these services for businesses that want to elevate their brand recognition and increase their revenues. Doesn’t it make sense that the same tools can help churches communicate their message effectively and reach out to the un-churched segment of society?

Even my own church requires a person to sign-up to hear the pastor’s teaching. ARGHHH. (You don’t have to log in to use the donation function.)

I apologize for the rant, although it has been strangely therapeutic. What I have determined is to keep communicating the value and hope that the church catches up to the opportunity.
